Tim has been involved in financial services in Connecticut for almost 30 years. He has worked at Colonial Bank, Bank of Waterbury, and The Bank of New Haven before organizing BCI, and he has found that the most gratifying work has been assisting people in obtaining loans and mortgages. He started BCI because he felt that “Big Banks” were not properly fulfilling the needs of our communities. Tim's philosophy in business is to give the customer superior customer service and the customer will keep coming back or recommend you to their friends.
Tim lives in Wolcott, Connecticut, with his wife Mary Ellen and their dogs, Bentley and Kerry, and two cats, Mercedes and Benz.

Joe DeAngelo has worked in bank operations and credit underwriting for over 25 years. He has extensive knowledge in all facets of consumer lending and operations. Prior to joining BCI, his experience included working for Connecticut National Bank, Security Pacific Auto Finance, and The Bank of New Haven. Joe feels that “working for a small loan company allows me to give back to the community by assisting people with mortgages, reverse mortgages and loans.” Joe lives in Watertown, Connecticut, with his wife Grace and their three cats.

Ken Penfield has been in community banking for more than 20 years and has been a life-long resident of Southington, Connecticut, where he has established a solid reputation as a trusted lender. Ken currently manages the Mortgage Department at BCI Financial Mortgage Corporation, overseeing numerous loan officers who originate conventional, commercial and Reverse Mortgages. Ken was excited to lead BCI Financial in becoming one of the first financial institutions to offer the Reverse Mortgage product in Connecticut. His experience as a dedicated mortgage lender has enabled him to help many people achieve their dream of home ownership. Ken feels that “making low cost mortgages for consumers is a wonderful way to help a community to grow and prosper.”
Ken lives with his wife, Jessica; sons, Nathan and Justin; and his dog, Luke.

Carol has been in banking for over 30 years. Prior to joining BCI, she worked in different capacities at Connecticut National Bank and The Bank of New Haven. Carol is well known and respected in both the banking and automobile industry in Connecticut. She works with customers, automobile dealers and banks to assure that they are all getting superior customer service. Carol likes to remind her staff that “great customer service will always pay off in the end.”
Carol lives in North Haven, Connecticut, with her husband, Frank, and has two children and five grandchildren.

Mike has been involved in many different aspects of automobile financing for 25 years at several companies. Prior to joining BCI Financial, he worked at Connecticut National Bank, The Bank of New Haven and other financial services companies and credit unions. Mike believes that “Working with automobile dealers to make loans for new and used cars is very rewarding. I often work hard to make sure that the dealer looks for every opportunity to assure that the customer gets the car that best suits their needs.”

Mike has been in the credit industry for over 30 years. He was Vice President of the Credit Bureau of Connecticut for 30 years, where one of his primary areas of responsibility was marketing. Mike has been extremely active in the credit industry, utilizing his extensive experience with trade organizations. Prior to the Credit Bureau, Mike worked for several financial institutions as a lender. Mike’s feels that “working with financial organizations to assist them in delivering a high quality product like reverse mortgages is very rewarding.”
Mike lives in Wallingford, Connecticut, with his wife Pam; one of the things he loves most in life is spending time with his grandchildren.

Gail Carabetta comes to BCI with many years experience in mortgage servicing at banks and mortgage companies. Gail works with customers, appraisers, lawyers and mortgage companies to assure the best possible outcome for every mortgage. Gail feels that working with mortgage customers is very exciting “because getting the mortgage or reverse mortgage often changes lives. It always gives me great pleasure when you have made a difference. It gives me such great joy to be able to work with and be part of this great team.”
At home Gail loves to work in the yard. If she is not outside then she enjoys baking. She lives with her husband, John, and her dog, Brandi.

Bill has been involved in the residential mortgage banking business for 25 years. He has financed thousands of residential units over his mortgage lending career as a regional mortgage company general manager and as a mortgage broker. Bill is experienced in all aspects of residential and commercial mortgage lending including construction lending, mixed use lending and refinancing.
Bill is from Wallingford, Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Economics. Bill served on the board of directors for the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce and the Wallingford Rotary Club. Bill and his wife, Pam, are the proud parents of three sons: Matthew, Jeffrey, and Christopher.

Chris has been a life-long resident of Waterbury, Connecticut. He graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York, with a B.S. in Business Management & Administration. He also spent a semester abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
Following an extensive journey through South America, Australia and New Zealand, Chris began his employment at BCI in the Collections Department. After exploring several different opportunities within the corporation, he is now working as a Mortgage Originator.
Chris believes that “taking responsibility is necessary to make anything happen.” He loves adventure, rock climbing, and hanging out with his 8 year old sheltie, Count.

Dick has been an integral part of the Connecticut financial community for over 30 years. He has participated in all phases of lending as well as holding senior positions in the manufacturing and accounting fields.
In addition to holding a degree in accounting, Dick has been a licensed mortgage broker in the State of Connecticut since 1997.
He is married and lives with his wife Phyllis in Higganum, Connecticut. They have three children.
